Male Caregiver

By Your Side Home Care is looking for a reliable and compassionate Male Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver will provide physical care, companionship, and emotional support to clients who may need assistance due to illness, injury, surgery, disability, or age-related needs.

The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, dependable, and compassionate. He must be able to provide care while treating clients and their property with dignity and respect at all times.

Responsibilities

Home Assistance

• Assist with light housekeeping and general household tasks.

• Run errands and provide transportation when needed.

• Accompany clients to appointments.

• Assist with medication reminders and routines as directed.

• Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping or purchasing food.

• Provide personal care assistance, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.

• Assist clients with general activities of daily living.

• Help with basic financial tasks when authorized, such as balancing checkbooks, going to the bank, or assisting with bill payments.

Companionship

• Provide friendly companionship and meaningful conversation.

• Encourage and engage clients in appropriate activities.

• Offer emotional support while maintaining patience, empathy, and professionalism.

• Help clients remain as comfortable, independent, and engaged as possible.

Requirements

• Male caregiver preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous caregiving experience is a plus.

• Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

• Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods when necessary.

• Reliable, patient, compassionate, and respectful.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Dependable and able to maintain client confidentiality.
